ESSNCE scented candles are based on our perfumes, with the same high quality and wonderful fragrances, now for your home too! Our scented candles are made from 100% soy wax and are paraffin free. Just like our perfumes, our candles are vegan and cruelty free.
Black Velvet is the perfect balance of floral, warm and spicy! In the base you will find vanilla together with woody notes, patchouli and amber. It gets spiciness from coffee and pink pepper which makes the scent seductive and sensual. A deep scent with a lot of warmth and femininity.
Our scented candles are handmade in Sweden.
Burn time: approx. 45–50 hours
Material: 100% soy wax
Important information: When using the candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax has melted evenly across the entire surface. Never burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time, and keep the wick trimmed to 3–5 mm. Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface, avoid drafts and never leave a burning candle unattended.

When will the product be delivered?
We work as quickly as possible to get your package to you as soon as we can! Our standard delivery time within Sweden is 2–3 business days. In Norway, our estimated delivery time is 2–5 business days, and for other international orders in Europe 2–7 business days. Shipping costs are calculated and shown at checkout. How much perfume oil does the perfume contain?
All of our perfumes contain between 15-20% perfume oil. Read more about perfume oil.
How long does perfume last on the skin?
All of our perfumes are Eau de Parfum (EDP) and usually last between 5-8 hours. However, how long a perfume lasts on the skin depends on several factors. The composition of the perfume as well as your skin's pH value and humidity are some of the factors that come into play. Read more about longevity on the skin HERE.

What is soy wax?
Soy wax is made from soybean oil and is a plant-based wax derived from a renewable resource. Pure soy wax contains neither paraffin nor animal-derived ingredients. It is appreciated for its slow burn, which, when paired with the right wick, can provide a long and even burn time. The wax also works well with fragrance oils, allowing for a pleasant scent throw. In addition, soy wax has a naturally creamy white color and a soft, creamy appearance that gives the candle a beautiful finish. For anyone looking for a plant-based alternative to paraffin, soy wax is a great choice, both for its origin and the overall candle experience.
Why aren't stearin candles vegan?
Stearin can be derived from either vegetable or animal fats. In Sweden, it is common to use animal fats obtained from slaughterhouse by-products. This means that stearin candles containing animal-derived stearin are not vegan.
Is soy wax better than stearin or paraffin?
Soy wax is a plant-based and biodegradable alternative to stearin and paraffin. Paraffin is a fossil fuel-derived product, an inexpensive raw material made from a by-product of the oil industry that releases carbon dioxide when burned. Soy wax also releases carbon dioxide when burned, but it comes from a renewable resource. With the right wick, soy wax can produce minimal soot and offer a long, even burn time. Candles made from pure soy wax are also 100% vegan.
Is it the same fragrance as the perfume?
Yes, our scented candles contain the same high-quality fragrance oil as our perfumes, produced in France.
