ESSNCE ORIGINALS: COMMUNITY EDITION

In spring 2025, we set out on something completely new. We wanted to create a perfume together with you—our amazing community. You’ve been part of the journey from the very beginning. You voted on the notes, name ideas, and even chose the exact name the scent would carry! The result? Forever June—our very first ESSNCE Original Community Edition.

HOW IT STARTED

That’s how it all began.

In early February 2025, our founder Jonna posted a question in our Facebook group—an open invitation to all of you in the community.

Imagine standing in our lab in France with our perfumer Paul. He gives you one task: create your perfect summer scent. No rules, no limits. What does it smell like? How does it make you feel? When do you wear it?

The response was magical. The comments filled with dreams, scent memories, feelings, notes, and ideas that became the foundation for what would later become Forever June—our very first community-created perfume.

This was the beginning of something completely new. A scent created by you, for you. And it all started with one simple but powerful question 🖤

BATTLE OF THE NOTES 📣

After we opened the floor to your dream scent ideas, it was time for the next step: We asked you to share which notes you wanted to include in a summery perfume ☀️☁️

We gathered your suggestions and narrowed it down to 16 notes that went head-to-head in the Battle of the Notes—a tournament where you voted for the ones that best capture the feeling of summer.

The winner? Wild strawberry! 🍓 An iconic summer classic that made it all the way to the final! But we didn’t stop there. Several of your top picks like pear, elderflower, and vanilla will hopefully join us as we move forward in the scent development.

We're now deep in the process of creating scent samples—and it's so exciting to see your ideas take shape in real life! 😍

VOTING FOR A NAME ✨

After receiving tons of magical name suggestions from our community, it was time to vote. And now it’s official—our very first Community Edition will be called Forever June ✨

The name perfectly captures the feeling we want this scent to evoke—something soft, dreamy, and timeless. Like a warm June evening you never want to end.

The next chapter in our shared fragrance journey is about to begin. We’re deep in the process of developing the first scent samples—and of course, we want to keep creating Forever June together with you 🌸
